Carrauntohill - Climb highest mountain in Ireland

Carrauntohill is the highest mountain on the island of Ireland at 1,038.6 metres (3,407 ft). Located in County Kerry, Carrauntoohil is the central peak of the MacGillycuddy's Reeks, Ireland's highest mountain range

We plan to climb Carrauntohill via the Brother O'Shea's gully route which is considered the most scenic approach to the summit.

Our descent will be via the zig zag track.

NB**The hike is graded difficult and will demand a good level of fitness and an ability to deal with uneven and rough steep terrain.

There are a number of short but slightly exposed rocky steps which require easy scrambling on our ascent.
